Become a steward and let the light of God shine in your life. No matter what you experience or encounter, never allow your light to be dimmed. You need to overcome tiredness before it becomes burnout.
There are moments in life when work, family, friends, or business can pull on your strength, and suddenly without your knowledge, your light is dimming as you've hit the go button and haven't stopped for a moment to fill yourself up. Fill yourself up on the very source of your light.
I'm sure you know where I am going with this. Yes, I'm talking about giving yourself room to be filled with the light of God to ensure you aren't burning out. How? The presence of God. We need to take a moment and reflect on where we are to determine where we need to go. I'm here to tell you that you can't make progress or keep your light going if you don't take time to restore yourself.
Even the light from our lamps or a flame can dim out when left on for long enough. And the only way to keep the light on is to give it a break or replace it. But the difference between you and a lamp or flame is that you can't be replaced. Your purpose is one of a kind, and no one else can execute it the way you can. So, because of that, you need to give yourself a break to recharge or reboot to maintain that light similar to the first time you were turned on.
During the recharge, I also believe that we get to experience the love of God in a new way. When creating space for the 1-on-1 commune, no choir, no church building, or members just you and Him. Just you and Him, even as I'm writing this, I can feel my heart smiling at the last time, and the next time I'll sit alone with Him. There's just so much freedom and refreshing that comes with being with my Creator. And because He is your Creator, I want you to experience this too. Especially as the year kicks up and deadlines of those first-quarter goals catch up with you. Remember to let His light shine, so that yours does not dim!
